Payment Types Accepted: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Personal Check, Money Order Description: 9mm Luger; 97% blue, 90% straw, excellent bore, very good grips, 4'' barrel, A nice exmaple of a basic WW1 issue German sidearm with original blue finish, strawed small parts and checkered beechwood grips. Matching except the proper variation magazine which is numbered 9633b. The left grip panel is matching, the right grip panel is not numbered however both grip panels match each other is condition and color and are probably original to the gun. Stamped on top of the toggle with the DWM logo and on top of the chamber with the date 1918. Standard military style numbering of the parts. Interestingly this example has no Imperial proofing or military acceptance marks, and no commercial proofing. Speculation is that this gun was still in the factory at wars end and somehow skipped being proofed and accepted, however the 1918 dated DWM's were produced well into the s suffix range, and even witih the skipped suffix's it seems the pistol would have laid in store for a very long time considering the need for small arms at the front. Condition: The metal finish shows sharp edge and some high point holstering wear, with some handling wear on the grip straps. The straw color on the small parts remains fairly uniform, most fading on the front of the trigger. The grips show minor wear with sharp checkering. Mechanically fine with a clean sharp bore.
