- Action works smooth
- Shows the changes from the original Henry rifle such as an enclosed magazine tube, forend, and saddle ring
- Full length magazine tube
- 20" round barrel
- Barrel address "WINCHESTER'S - REPEATING - ARMS. NEW HAVEN. CT. KING'S - IMPROVEMENT - PATENTED - MARCH 29.1865. OCTOBER 16. 1880."
- Appears all original
- Original rear adjustable ladder sight (graduated to 900 yds) and German nickel blade front sight
- "EM" etched faintly on left side of receiver
- #3 on lower tang
- Brass butt plate with storage
- Walnut stock in good overall condition with some handling marks
- Check split on front lower forend approx 2 inches end of wood to barrel band
- Areas of surface rust on mag tube and barrel, otherwise good condition
- Bore has lands and grooves but is dark
- Very rare and desirable Winchester 1866 SRC
