Description:
This Winchester was produced in 1906. The shotgun's serial number is 302662. This gun is Trap Gun marked on bolt face. This is a early model 1897 that has the screw retained cartridge stops. The stock is the English style straight grip with the black diamonds on each side of the wrist. It has the correct curved original hard rubber buttplate. The "pull" is 13 3/4 inches. This was pretty much standard at that time. The barrel is 29 inches. It is marked full. This barrel has had one inch cut off at the muzzle. The bead has been re installed. It is now about a modified choke. This is the only thing that has been done to it. Everything else is as was from the factory. The stock and forend have no cracks or damage. The take down feature is tight with no play. The bore is bright and clean. The action is tight and works smoothly. The barrel blue is about 92% overall. The reciever blue is about 89% overall condition. This is a Decent model 1897 that can still shoot with the best out there. Search for hlvfineguns on google for more details.
