These Russian M44 Mosin Nagant Carbines seem to get harder and harder to find each year. The supply in the former Soviet Union / Eastern Bloc countries seems to be gradually drying up. This example is a World War 2 production M44 Carbine made by the Izhevsk Armaments Factory in 1944 and imported by Century Arms International(import marked). It went thru a rebuild at some point post-WW2 and is all-matching (electropencil force-matched during rebuild). This M44 is a clean carbine with a solid hardwood stock in the late-war/post war configuration. The stock has some arsenal repairs in it and some wear and tear from use, but is in great solid shape overall. The hardware is all present and intact except for the top band spring that holds the band, which is there but needs to be replaced. The original blue finish looks great on the receiver, barrel, and trigger guard, and the bore in this carbine is pretty clean with nice strong rifling. All of the controls work perfectly on this M44 and the action is smooth and locks into battery perfectly. As far as Mosin Nagants go, this Izhevsk M44 Carbine has a good trigger as well which breaks pretty nicely and should help accuracy. This M44 would be a great addition to any WW2 Russian weapons collection and would be a lot of fun at the range.
