Description:
Sold....Offered is a Minty original Winchester Model 88 .308 Rifle that is new old stock with its original number matching box, hang tag, warranty card, manual etc. Serial number is 177596A made in 1966. It is the RED W grip cap variation of the post 64 basket weave checkering style Model 88. We think the Red W model is the best looking of all Model 88 variations. This rifle look to have been possibly test fired only and looks to never to have had a scope mounted. The blue and wood finishes are excellent with just a few scattered handling marks. There is NO touch up or refinishing and it is all original and we rate the rifle at 99% The numbered box and all papers are in likewise excellent condition. The safety is set up for left hand use but this is easily changed to right if wanted. A very difficult rifle to find in this condition with its box and papers.
