Description:
A.H. Fox AE 20 Gauge Side-by-Side
General Specs: Fox, Year 1917, 20 Gauge, 6lbs 4oz, SxS

Serial Number: 201038

Where have all the Fox 20ga. guns gone?  The shooting public caught on to the delightful handling characteristics of the A.H. Fox 20, bought them all up, and they aren't selling them.  If you have been following internet sales of Fox shotguns, especially 20ga. guns, you will have noticed 2 things; there are way fewer being offered for sale and the price has risen dramatically.  There are less than a handful of graded 20ga. guns in any condition being offered for sale.  High demand and short supply equals a grand investment opportunity.  Fox AE 20-gauge guns will exceed $7000 in value by next year, mark my words.  When you consider there were only 2379 A Grade Fox 20 ga. guns ever made, only about 800 with ejectors, and 3400 graded 20ga. Fox guns ever made, IN ALL GRADES, you understand why they are so hard to find.  This fine Fox, sn201038 made in 1917, with its 28” Krupp #3weight barrels is the ultimate upland and vintage clays gun.   Nicely restored to near new condition, she is ready for another 100 years. The mechanics are perfect, the barrels are tight on breech face and hinge pin like a new gun, and the stock dimensions are awesome for the modern shooter.  When you consider the cost of a full restoration now tops $3000 to be done correctly and takes at least a year to get your gun back, buying this gun already restored to the highest quality makes a lot of sense.  Nothing needs to be done, and the gun is a VFI Certified gun carrying a 90-day mechanical warranty.  This is a great time of year to buy your new bird and clays gun with the whole summer ahead to practice.  A fine Fox like this would sell for more in the fall, so don’t hesitate or she will be gone!  Thanks for looking.
