Description:
This beautiful Simson Suhl 12 gauge double barrel shotgun was manufactured in January of 1973 in the German Democratic Republic (communist East Germany), and is serial number 566120.  It features 28" inch barrels choked full and full, with 2.75" inch chambers and perfect bores.  The scalloped boxlock action has 90% of the original bright case colored finish remaining and features sideclips and three locking lugs including a Greener Crossbolt.  The straight English grip stock has a length of pull of 14.75" inches over the 1" inch recoil pad, and is in near perfect condition. It is free from cracks or repairs and is quite attractive with hand cut checkering.  The forearm is a semi-beavertail that is fully checkered.  This Simson has factory European style sling swivels with the upper swivel mounted on the barrels and the lower in the buttstock.  Everything on this shotgun works 100% like the day it left the factory.  Simson Suhl is a well known German arms company that has made quality firearms like this shotgun for over 150 years.  If you have been looking for a quality and classy vintage double barrel for your collection, or to take to the field, this Simson would be a great choice.
