Description:
The Sturm Ruger Company was founded in 1955, and they commemorated their 50th Anniversary in 2005 by producing some of their earlier models in a limited edition run. This .357 Magnum while technically a "New Model", was manufactured with a lot of the early features on the original Blackhawk. It features a "flat top" frame topstrap, smaller XR-3 black checkered plastic grips with silver Ruger medallions, and the early style "Micro" adjustable rear sight. The top of the 4 & 5/8ths inches barrel is rollmarked in gold with "50th Year Blackhawk 1955 to 2005". This gun appears unfired and is in excellent overall condition. It has some minor handling marks on the bottom of the trigger guard and two little dings on the front sight blade, both areas are pictured in detail. The bore is minty and bright, and the action on this revolver works perfectly and locks up tight. This 50 Anniversary Model Blackhawk comes complete with the original serial numbered red plastic box/case and all of the inserts and paperwork.
