ENGRAVED Antique HOPKINS & ALLEN XL No. 4 Revolver
With Antique Ivory Grips
Here we present an antique Hopkins & Allen XL No. 4 .38 Revolver, made circa 1880 in Norwich, Connecticut. This revolver was made for civilian self-defense, and was part of a line of other “XL” revolvers of various sizes and calibers. The No. 4 was chambered for 5 shots of .38 Rimfire. The entirety of the gun is nicely engraved. The grips are antique ivory.
The overall condition is fine. The original nickel finish is 90%. The engraving and markings are clear and legible. The grips are smooth and very nice. The bore is sharp and clean. The action is functional. Here is a beautifully appointed pocket revolver!
