Description:
Here is a factory engraved Colt 1862 police in a non-factory period black pebble grain french fitted case. It was made in 1863. All numbers match, although some are lightly stamped and it has the "E" under the serial number. The barrel is 51/2 inches long and has a decent bore. There are traces of blue in protected areas and it retains about 60% of the silver plate on the bs and tg.Grips are burl walnut with most of the varnish. Balance of gun is a gray patina. Retains it's cylinder pins. Just a very good example of a desireable piece. The case is nice and may be a little later than the gun. All the toys are proper and the mold even has the proper "36P" marking. Shipping is $35 in the CONUS
