BRITISH ANTIQUE "London Fine Twist" Percus Shotgun
Sturdy Single Barrel Fowler
Here we present an Antique London Fine Twist Percussion Single Barrel Shotgun made circa the 1850s in England. This would have been a good, reliable weapon for hunting fowl.
This one features a part octagonal, part round barrel with a front bead sight. The barrel tang is modestly engraved. The top of the barrel is marked “LONDON FINE TWIST”.
The overall condition is good. The metal surfaces are dark with age and have been refinished. The markings are clear and legible. The bore is dark. The stocks are in good shape. The action on this shotgun is strong.
