HEAVY BARREL Antique Half-Stock LONG RIFLE
Faintly Maker Marked .32 Caliber Musket
Here we present an antique Half-Stock Percussion Long Rifle, made circa the 1840s. This rifle features a .32 caliber heavy octagonal barrel and double set triggers. There are faint small stamped letters that is very nearly legible on the top barrel flat. This rifle was intended for hunting small game and target shooting. Lock is engraved with wild game. The butt stock is inset with a brass patch box.
The overall condition is fair. The metal surfaces are dark with age. The bore is dark. The stock is in fair condition with a repair at the wrist and a crack on each side along the barrel. The action is strong. The rear trigger must be set for the hammer to stay in the cocked position.
