Colt Model 1860 Army; SN. 17674; One of the 1,000 Crispin Revolvers; All were furnished with shoulder stocks; most stocks were returned because they could not compete with Confederate Carbines; this revolver was purchased with the documentation and photographs; it is assumed that this revolver, due to it’s fine condition, belonged to Colonel Swain; it has never had a shoulder stock and is in Excellent Condition with most of the Original Finish; Perfect Action & Bore; All Numbers Match including Wedge; Chellis Swain was enlisted on August 17, 1862 as 2nd Lieutenant and commissioned into ‘B’ Co. NY 11th Calvary; Original Enlistment Papers and Photos of his father Col. James B.
