Antique Smoothbore Percussion Musket GOULCHER Lock
Here we present an antique Smoothbore Percussion Musket, made circa the 1840s. This firearm is equipped with a “G. GOULCHER” marked lock. The barrel is .56 caliber with an octagon to round transition. Sights are rifle type.
The overall condition is fair. The iron is dark. The markings are clear. The stock’s lock inletting is a bit rough with a repair just forward of that. The bore is smooth and heavily oxidized and dusty. The action is not functional.
