Description:
SN 803 is a Mass Arms pocket model revolver. This example shows a 5" barrel with sound rifling. For reference see Flayderman's 7A-056. This model was built 1850-51 with approximately 1000 revolver manufactured 31 cal . This example shows clear engraving and patent info on the lock and receiver. The action work and is mechancailly sound. The barrel shows overall pitting and corrosion related to poor storage. The cylinder shows traces of a cylinder scone. The wood is original, sound and shows strong remnants of finish. The trigger guard and straps show remnants of the factory silver. This piece is all original except for a modern screw ahead of the hammer.
