Description:
Smith & Wesson Pre-29 N-Frame revolver in .44 Magnum. This is the 5-screw original model, one of 6,500 made! 6.5" barrel, blued with Goncalvo Alves "Coke Bottle" grips. Serial number: S153XXX. This revolver has seen a little use but is still tight and in wonderful mechanical shape. The crane is straight, lock-up is tight with very minor play. This item shows a bit of holster wear and a bit of light flaking to the bluing on the left side of the barrel. Bore is very good with strong rifling. Checkering of the grips is perfect, with only a few small nicks to the butt. This is a great example of the granddaddy of arguable Smith & Wesson's most famous revolver- the 29!
