Description:
This is a really nice example of the U.S. Springfield 1884 Trapdoor in .45-70. Condition is original and shows very strong case colors and bluing has a nice patina. Buffington sight is in excellent condition. All screws are in excellent condition. Bore is very good and strong. Wood is in excellent condition with original finish and some normal handling marks. No missing wood or cracks. Stock cartouche behind the trigger guard is "P". Stock cartouche on left hand side of stock above trigger appears to say "SMP 1889". No damage, issues or concerns with this excellent 1884 Trapdoor.
