The metal surfaces of this 1972-made revolver retain about 80-85% factory blue, as well as about 50-60% of the original color case-hardened finish on the frame. The barrel, grip frame and cylinder exhibit silvering along the edges and projections along with a definite turn-ring on the cylinder. The rear portion of the frame and recoil shield have been cleaned with visible marks in the gray metal. The checkered plastic Rampant Colt and eagle grips rate excellent with only some very minor flattening of the points. This is a very nice .22 New Frontier and rates about very good overall.
