Winchester model 1866 saddle ring carbine in 44 rimfire.Built in 1870,this rifle is in excellent original condition.The 20" barrel has an excellent bright bore with sharp rifling.The action has a smooth gold patina and has not been buffed.The barrel retains 60% of the original blue.The rifle retains the original early style rear sight.The stock and forend are sound with no cracks.There are a few typical handling marks for a gun of this age.The action works smoothly and the trigger and hammer break clean.This is an excellent example of the 66 "yellow boy" carbine.Claasified as an antique so it can be shipped direct.
