Ultra Rare Smith & Wesson .357 Mag.; SN S78322; Transitional Post War; Less than 150 ever produced (See Supica pg. 155); this Rare Revolver has a 3 ½ “ barrel and is an Original “Pinto” model; it has barrel marked S78322N; frame under grip has a “S” and “B”; Pre war parts include Registered Magnum type Grips numbered 78322; Registered Magnum type Hammer; Registered Magnum type Barrel; Original nickel parts include barrel, cylinder, screws, pins, and cylinder release button; Note pins on nickel part of barrel are blue; Perfect action and bore; Much of the original blue remains but blue has been touched up; info from seller is that it was a Dallas Police Officer’s gun and Includes Holster Rig; Smith & Wesson Factory Records indicate August 24, 1950 shipment, blue finish, 3 ½ “ barrel to Sloan’s Sporting Goods New York City, NY.; probably the Only Transitional Pinto; LETTER FROM PREVIOUS OWNER HAS AN OPINION FROM ROY JERKS, SO CALLED S&W HISTORIAN, INCLUDES OPINIONS WHICH ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECORDS. HE TOLD PREVIOUS OWNER THAT HE COULD ONLY STATE WHAT WAS IN THE RECORDS; WHAT A LIE. I KNOW THAT THE S&W CARTEL HAS PISSED ALL OVER THIS GUN AS THEY ARE PRONE TO DO ON ANYTHING THEY DON'T OWN THIS GUN IS RARE & RIGHT!
