Colt Single Action Army .44-40 caliber revolver. Colt Single Action Army manufactured in 1897. .44-40 caliber. Barrel marked “Colt Frontier Six Shooter”. Bore is poor. Action works and indexes perfectly. Gun was nickel plated probably in the 1940’s or 50’s. Grips are a pair of excellent old stag that are very symmetrical and wide at the bottom. Stag grips can be very irregular but these are top notch and looks great.
Note: This is a blackpowder Single Action but does have the transverse cylinder pin. Do not shoot modern high velocity ammunition in the gun.
