This Smith & Wesson was produced in 1918. The pistol's serial number is 96930. It is in it's original condition from the factory. It is chambered for the 45 A.C.P. cartridge. The gun is designed to shoot the 45 A.C.P in half moon clips. It has not been through an Arsenal rebuild program. The bluing would rate a 97% or better condition. The grips are in very fine condition with the original finish intact. The bore is bright with no pitting. The chambers are bright with no pitting or other damage. There is a light drag line between the cylinder stops. The hammer and trigger retain the strong color cased finish from the factory. This pistol shows sign of very little use or being fired. It is correctly Property Marked under the barrel. The inspector markings are all present. The lanyard is a correct World War One issued lanyard. It has the Pat. Feb 20 17 on the lanyard swivel crimp. The holster is marked G&K 1917. The holster is the correct holster for these revolvers. The holster is in sound serviceable condition. There are no repairs or alterations done on this holster. it is complete with both tie downs. The canteen is marked L.F.& C 1918. It comes with it's cover which is unmarked. This is a nice original World War One Set for this pistol. The pistol is complete with it's holster and lanyard plus having a canteen is a real find! This Smith & Wesson in this condition with the accessories will appeal to the S&W collectors as well as the World War One collectors. Search for hlvfineguns on google for more details.
