Description:
The Model 1892 chambered in .44-40 was a winner. Settlers, lawmen, and cowboys appreciated the convenience of being able to carry a single caliber of ammunition which they could fire in both pistol and rifle. In both law enforcement and hunting usage the .44-40 became the most popular cartridge in the United States.

Metal Condition: Overall patina consistant with age and useage. Some freckling and marks as would be expected.
Wood Condition: Marks ,dings, and scratches consistant with age and usage. Stock has a through crack at toe, Crack on the left side of wrist and starting at the back of the upper tang.
Bore Condition: Very good, clean and bright with good lands and grooves.
Barrels: 24 1/2 full octagon.
Triggers: Single.
Stock: Uncheckered walnut.
