Description:
Special order rifle that features a 28 inch full octagon barrel with full length mag tube chambered in the desirable 44 WCF caliber, set trigger that works and some nice extra figure wood on the stock. All metal surfaces are a pleasing brown patina. Receiver has traces of blue around the side plates. Original sights include a German silver blade front and a sporting rear. Nice functioning action. Bore has good rifling and some shine but could use a good cleaning. Wood looks good and fits good. Crescent style buttplate. Nice looking rare 3rd Model Winchester with desirable special order features from 1883. Extra length barrels are getting harder to find.
