This is the most recognized shotgun model in the world. The distinctive "humpback" receiver sets it apart from any other model and makes it easily recognized even at a long distance. The Browning Auto 5 semi-automatic shotgun has been the standard by which all other recoil operated automatic shotguns have been judged since it's introduction in 1900. This example is totally original and while it has been used, it has been well cared for. This Browning A5 Light Twelve has a 26 inch plain barrel that is choked "Improved Cylinder". The bore is minty and bright in this Browning with no pitting, dents, or bulges. The original factory blue finish on this A5 rates 90% with the majority of the wear on the bottom of the receiver where it was carried. The original checkered Walnut stock set has some handling marks as well and some small scratches in the finish, but is free from any cracks or repairs. The original FN Browning buttplate is nicely fit and in excellent shape. The LOP to the end of the plate is 14.5" inches. From looking at the internals in this shotgun and the gold finish on the trigger it appears to have not been shot much at all. One of the first places you will see wear on these A5's is the gold finish on the trigger wearing off. No gun collection is complete without one of these iconic Browning A5s. This example would be perfect for someone who would like to have one in their collection that they can shoot without feeling guilty about it.
