Description:
Colt Model 1903, Type III, Nickel Finish in .32 Rimless (.32 Auto or .32 ACP, they're all the same cartridge). This is a very nice Colt Model 1903 with a nickel finish in .32 rimless (.32 Auto/.32 ACP). The full coverage nickel finish is in very good condition for its age with absolutely no flaking, but as with most old, 93 year old guns, shows numerous tiny hairline scratches in the shiny surface of the nickel. The black hard rubber Colt grips look great and are in very good plus condition with strong checkering, rampant horse, spears and lettering. The bore is bright and shiny throughout, it is in very good condition with strong lands and grooves and appears to have been shot very little. This fine pistol was manufactured in 1925 and looks to be completely original. Includes one original nickel finish Colt stamped magazine. Please Note: Unfortunately the photos do not do this gun justice, it is actually very silvery looking. I suspect when the pistol was photographed, there was a dark ceiling, board or something above the pistol which reflect against the silvery shiny finish giving it grey appearance.Additional Note: Extra photos have been added to this ad, hopefully they are helpful for your evaluation of the metal surfaces. The third to last photo shows the exact size of the pistol. Reference for size: The slide on the pistol measures 6 1/2 inches wide which is the same measurement viewed on my desktop computer screen.
