Description:
Early Charles Daly "Prussian" Diamond with Damascus barrels. Barrel finish is thinning throughout and barrels appear to have been professionally shortened at some point to 26". Neither barrels exhibits any choke constriction with barrel wall thickness at the muzzles of .040. Bone buttplate shows a few old holes. Bores are bright with a couple small spots of old pitting in the left barrel. Receiver is beautifully engraved with a deer, birds and a dog. Action remains tight as new. Fitted with cocking indicators that function properly.  Wood has darkened with age and remains solid and free of cracks. Wood does show some carry wear to the checkering on the forend. Underside of barrels is stamped with crossed pistols under a crown. Action is stamped "Anson & Deeley Brevete" Matching numbers throughout. Lovely old Prussian Daly.
