FRENCH Antique DERINGER-Style Percussion Pistol
Pocket Pistol from the Mid-1800s
Here we present an antique French Deringer-Style Percussion Pocket Pistol, made circa the mid-19th Century. This was designed to be used as a self-defense tool that could fit in the pocket. It features a partially octagonal/round barrel with a bore size of .36 caliber. The stock is full-length with a curved bird’s head grip. The hammer spur is high and curved.
The overall condition is good. The metal surfaces are dark with age. There are no visible markings. The stock is solid. The bore is smooth. The action on this pistol is excellent, strong and crisp.
