Nickel with Nice Etched Panel!
Here we present an antique Colt New Line .22 Revolver First Model, made in 1876 in Hartford, Connecticut. It was designed to be a handy pocket-carry revolver, chambered in.22 Rimfire, very popular for self-defense in these days.
The revolver features 7 shots of .22 rimfire. The top of the barrel reads “COLT’S PT. F. A. MFG. CO./HARTFORD CT USA”. Etched on the left side of the barrel is “COLT NEW 22”. Patent dates are on the bottom of the barrel.
The overall condition is fine. The original nickel finish is 80% intact. The markings are clear and legible. The bore is in good condition with good rifling. The rosewood grips are in great shape. The action on this revolver is excellent.
