This carbine barrel date is 2-44. This date is correct for the serial block range. The serial number for this gun is 4784080. it has a Inland Barrel which is on of the barrel suppliers for Quality Hardware. All of the parts are Quality Hardware with the following exceptions. The safety, magazine catch, barrel band and stock. The stock is a M2 stock. The recoil plate is also Quality Hardware. The bore is in very fine condition. The original military finish is intact on the parts and gun itself. This carbine would make a great restoration project! There would not be many parts to find as listed above. That the gun has not been reparkerized is a big plus! Quality Hardware is number 6 in rarity With 5.9% of these guns being produced of the total production of M1 carbines.
