Description:
The Chinese model designated "Pistol No. 1" had a large tangent-adjustable rear sight (graduated to an incredibly optimistic 500 meters) with a  front sight that is set in a dovetail and is staked to prevent movement. A slot machined into the rear of the grip frame to accommodate a detachable wooden shoulder stock/ holster combination. Self-loading pistol with a parkerized finish. Black plastic grips. 4-5/8 inch barrel chambered for 9mm. Correct "JI" marked detachable 13-round magazine. Stock is marked "S.A. LTD. 1945" on right side and "Made in Canada" complete with belt loop attachment. The original Chinese contract stocks were produced by Small Arms Limited (“S.A Ltd.”) of Long Branch, Canada. They are made out of walnut, and have been finished in a medium brown stain. Most of the original stocks are marked with the year of manufacture 1945 under the “S.A. LTD” stamp. This gun has a real good bore with crisp action. The Chinese contract Inglis Hi-Powers makes them an interesting addition to any collection of WWII firearms.
