Description:
The Remington Model 241 "Speedmaster", manufactured from 1935 to 1951 with approximately 107,000 made, replaced the Browning designed Model 24 in 1935. The rifles were fitted with a 24 inch round barrel, open sights, non checkered walnut stock and forearm, take-down design with the take-down button located on the left side of the receiver, and were chambered in .22 Short (Model 241 SA) or .22 LR (Model 241 LA). This Model 241 is as described and is in excellent original condition, retaining 98%+ of its original blue finish, with assorted very minor handling marks and most thinning on the butt-plate. The trigger retains most all of its original color case-hardened finish. The stock and forearm retain 95%+ of their original finish, with assorted handling marks, nothing major and no chips or cracks. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The action functions perfectly and the take-down operates like new, with no looseness. All stampings on the receiver and barrel are crisp and the screw-heads are un-molested. Nice Model 241.
