Description:
This is an excellent example of the .44 Army Revolver, popular with both sides during the Civil War. Although the blue finish has faded, there is no rust or pitting, and the surfaces are smooth and clean. The cylinder scene is excellent and the inspector's cartouche are still visible on the grips. The mechanics are fine and the bore is good. Numbered in the 67xxx serial range, this gun was manufactured in 1862. The screw heads are good and the markings are clear and distinct.
