Description:
This is a very attractive Kahr K9 9mm pistol with a custom finish and complete with the original box, extra magazine, and owner's manual. Kahr introduced the K9 pistol in 1995 and at that time it was one of the smallest 9mm "carry" pistol in production anywhere. The K9 features a double-action only trigger mechanism, and a striker fired, locked-breach recoil operated action that is both reliable and accurate. This Kahr model quickly earned a reputation for being a high quality pistol with great fit and finish and has been a commercial success for the firm. Kahr pistols in general are known for extremely smooth and consistent double-action trigger pulls, and the K9 is no exception. This Kahr K9 was bought new by the previous owner, and is in excellent condition overall. The original owner sent it off to a company that does custom finishes and had a "matte hard chrome" finish applied to it. It is a very attractive gray colored finish that is very durable and tough. The matte hard chrome finish is super hard and slick, which both increases the reliability and durability of the weapon it is applied to. It holds lubricant better than a bare stainless steel finish, and also creates a rust-proof barrier that for all intents and purposes is impervious to even salt water. As you would imagine it is not cheap to get it done. The prior owner spent over $300 bucks to have this done to this K9. As you can see in the pictures, the finish is in excellent condition with only some tiny handling marks visible under close inspection. This K9 has a perfect bore. The rifling still has sharp lands and grooves, and there is no pitting or erosion whatsoever. The original black rubber grips are in like new condition. They are free from tears or repairs, and show no signs of wear. Everything on this Kahr K9 works 100% like the day it left the factory. The action is smooth and locks up tight. As mentioned previously, it comes with the original plastic case it shipped from Kahr in, as well as the original extra factory magazine and the owner's manual. If you have been looking for a tough and reliable concealed carry gun this Kahr would be an excellent choice. It is a bargain at $425 given that a new K9 retails for just under $900!
