“LONDON” Marked Antique Percussion SHOTGUN
Mid-19th Century British Shotgun
Here we present an antique British Percussion Shotgun, manufactured in the mid-19th century. This would have been a handy implement for waterfowl or small furbearers.
The lock is marked “FISHER & GLO_TIMER”. The top of the barrel is marked “LONDON”.
The overall condition is good. The metal surfaces are dark with age. The markings are legible. The bore is smooth and dark. Foremost ramrod is currently detached and the front sight bead is absent. The stock shows some minor chipping from use and a crack on the left side opposite the lock. The action on this shotgun is strong.
