Description:
Very rare Remington model 720A civilian model.Built in May of 1942,this rifle is one of only 1000 model 720s to go into civilian hands.The other 1500 were purchased by the Navy and given as prizes for the Secretary of the Navy shooting matches at Camp Perry.This rifle is in all original condition and has not been altered in any way.The 22" barrel has a mint bore.The rifle retains 95% of the original blue metal finish.The stock retains at least 95% of the original wood finish and the checkering on the pistol grip and forend is still sharp and crisp.There is a tiny chip at the heel of the stock at the steel buttplate,but no cracks or damage.This is a very rare rifle that would make a great addition to any collection or a fine all around hunting rifle.C&R eligible.
