Winchester model 1866 saddle ring carbine in 44 rimfire.Built in 1870,this rifle is in excellent all original condition.The 20" barrel has an excellent bore free of any rust or pittiong.The barrel still retains around 70% of the original blue finish.The receiver has turned a nice dark gold patina and has not been polished or cleaned.The wood is sound with no cracks or damage.The rifle still has the original flip up sight.This is a fine example of the 1866 "yellow boy".Classified as an antique so it can be shipped direct.
