This beautiful Colt M1911 was originally shipped sometime in late 1918 or ealry 1919. A Colt factory archive letter would be required to verify the exact shipping date and destination, due to the fact pistols were not being shipped in strict sequential order because of WWI.
This pistol has all correct and beleived to be original parts. Many of the small parts and the magazine is original finish. However, because the late Colt M1911 finish was so fragile and flaked so badly, finish has been professionally restored on the receiver and slide, as well as some other parts. Stocks are original.

While this pistol isn't totally original finish, it is an excellent representative example of what many WWI Colt M1911 pistols looked like when produced. The restoration work is excellent. The pistol has a very accurate appearance and displays well on each side.
