Description:
The Dakota Model 76 is one of the most desirable hunting rifles in the world, proven on every continent, in every climate and on every type of game. Exemplifying the very best of bolt action innovation with exquisite lines and impeccable shot to shot precision, it has deservedly taken its place among the legendary rifles of the 20th and 21st centuries.
The Traveler breaks down into two sections-the receiver/stock and the barrel/forend-for compact carry. This African Grade comes with a 24” 300 H&H Magnum and a 24” 458 Lott barrel. It features a beautiful upgraded walnut stock with a shadow line Monte Carlo cheekpiece, hand cut checkering, an ebony forend tip and ebony cross bolt plugs. The satin finished stock has a metal grip cap and a Pachmayr recoil pad yielding a 13 3/4” length of pull. A single blade quarter rib rear sight and a front banded, hooded sight with flip up night sight sit atop both barrels. The bolt knob and receiver are rust blued. All remaining metal is matte blued. Barrel band front and inletted rear sling swivel studs. Factory test fired only. Weight is 10 lbs with the 300 H&H barrel.
