Description:
32” Nitro steel barrels with 2 ¾” chambers (forcing cones have been lengthened), choked .046 right and .043 left. Single plane concave rib with dual ivory beads. Right barrel is marked L.C. SMITH SPECIALTY GRADE and the left is marked HUNTER ARMS CO. INC. MFR’S FULTON, N.Y. USA. The barrels were reblued at one point and retain 95% finish. Bores are bright and shiny. The receiver and side plates have the typical Specialty Grade engraving. The trigger guard is engraved with a scroll pattern. The receiver, sideplates and forend iron retain 70% case color. The trigger guard retains 99% of a reblue job. This gun has a Hunter One selective, mechanical trigger, non-automatic safety and ejectors. The pistol grip stock is point checkered at 20 lines per inch that wraps over the grip. It retains most of its original finish with several handling marks and a small chip near the trigger guard. It has a hard rubber grip cap and a poorly fit and deteriorating recoil pad. The forearm is point checkered at 20 lines per inch, retains most of its original finish with a few very light handling marks and a couple of small chips near the release. Length of pull is 14 1/8”, drop at comb is 1 3/8”, drop at heel is 2 1/4”. Weight is 8 1/4 lbs. The trigger selector does not select the left barrel. Otherwise, mechanics are fine.
