Description:
A very interesting antique Colt! Double action 1877 Model "Lightning" revolver in .38 Long Colt caliber. Original hard rubber grips are in very nice shape, with no cracks or chips and just a few high areas of smoothing of the checkering. Most of the original blue finish has faded to a mottled gray/brown patina, not at all unusual for a gun this age. Bore is a bit dirty, but still exhibits strong rifling its entire length and looks very shootable. Cylinder chambers are very clean as well, and gun functions correctly in both double and single action. All serial numbers match, and gun appears to be in completely original condition. This old Colt exudes the spirit of the Wild West!
