Mauser P-08 coded S/42, dated 1937, Cal. 9 mm ser. 3XX r.
A real "Cabinet Queen". Moreover, this is a very scarce strawed 1937 P-08. The strawing of the trigger, safety levertake down lever and the mag reasle was discontiued on February1st. of 1937. This gun was made in January of 1937. The very last batch with strawed parts.. The strawed parts have retained at least 97-98%.
This gun still has 98%%of the original factory blue. There is just the very slightest muzzle wear, some minimal sharp edge silvering and the usual side plate wear and that's it. There is no rust, scratches, flakes or rub marks to be found anywhere.
The grip straps have no sign of graying.
The right side of the slide is correctly stamped Eagle/53, Eagle/63, Drooping Eagle. All parts match including the walnut grips, which are without a flaw. Not a chip or a split to be found. The grip screws show no use.
The slide rails, bolt face and feed ramp show very little wear.
The bore is super bright with sharp rifling and without even a hint of frost. It just doesn't get any better than this little "Cabinet Queen". The gun comes with one correct non-matching magazine.
This one would be fantastic on the range, but just a little too pretty to shoot, you decide....$2395.
