Description:
This Winchester was produced in 1894. The rifle's serial number is 91574. It now has a 25 3/4 inch barrel. The bore is in good condition with clear lands and clean bore. It now has a half magazine. The front sight is a standard Winchester sight for this model The rear sight slot has a blank insert. The rear sight is the Lyman reciever side mounted sight. The double set trigger works correctly and releases sharply. The lever is silvery with traces of color cased finish in protected areas. The reciever is silvery. The action works smoothly and feeds shells with no issues. The stock and forend have no cracks or damage. There is a coat of new varnish applied to the wood. There is no sign of sanding to the wood. The octagonal barrel retains traces of the original bluing. This is a great rifle for a restoration project or to use for different types of shooting. It functions well and is not bad looking.
