Inv. 6495. DWM(Luger)Police,P-08. Cal, 9mm, Ser. 9984 b.This is a "Double Date," a gun that originally was used in WWI. The Versailles Treaty forced the German then returned to the factory,refinished and then issued to s German police department.
This beauty that has retained about 95-96% of the factory finish and has a unique history stamped in the front grip strap. The grip is stamped S.B. 215 which stands for Schutzpolicie Berlin Unit 215. However in the middle of that it is also stamped, M.I. 3.10 which is X ed out. This is for a mchine gun group in 1918. As you can see,it finally ended up in the Berlin Police in 1920.
The slight loss of finish that there is is due some light sharp edge silvering, and the usual muzzle wear There are no rust spots, pits, rub marks or scratches. the grip straps have not started to gray The wooden checkered grips are in fine condition There is one tiny chip missing under the safety which quite common and hardly noticeable. The slide rails, bolt face and feed ramp show little if ant use. The bore is super. Mirror bright and razor sharp. Not touch of frost anywhere. It comes with one correct walnut based nickle plated magazine serial numbered 3041.
This little gem has it all. A great history, great condition, a great shooter, a great investment and should be a great shooter.....$1695
