Description:
One of the most popular shotguns in the country at the beginning of the 20th century was the Ithaca Flues. Emil Flues was the American gunsmith who spawned the design, and Ithaca set it into production. It took Remington out of the double gun market, and shut down a handful of other manufacturers with its simple, affordable design. This Flues Field Grade 1 model shows its age, but wears it well. There is oxidation on the barrels, tarnishing on the receivers, but no major scratches or marring in the metal. The stock and forend have marks throughout, and there is a notch missing on the forend. The barrels are bright and smooth despite the gun's age. The stock and triggers are loose and there is a piece missing from the butt, but this gun has a charming appearance and definitely has some stories to tell, being nearly a century old. Add this one to your collection and continue its story.
