Description:
Collector's U.S. Property marked double action revolvers U.S. Colt Model 1917doublke action revolver. .45 ACP cal., 5 1/2 inch round bbl, blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1920. Standard fixed blade and front notch rear dights, two-line addresses on top of the barrel and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" making on the underside. The underside of the barrel, yoke, and cylinder have small "H" inspection marks with matchings numbers on the crane and yoke. The Left side of the frame is stamped with the "eagle/7" inspection mark just ahead of the hammer. Smooth grips with a lanyard swivel and loop of the butt. CONDITION: Fine: 90% original blue finish remains with edge wear, mild brown patina on the rear grip strap, traces of light spotting, and handling marks overall. Grips are also fine with small dings and bruises. Mechanically excellent.
