This was Marlin's first side ejection lever action rifle and the forerunner of the Marlins to come. This rifle has 80-85% of its original blue and traces of case colors in the protected areas on the hammer and lever. The wood stock is solid, without any cracks of major flaws. Maybe the best part about the rifle is the bore, which is bright with sharp lands and grooves. It will make an excellent shooter and should continue to appreciate in value.
