A high condition Winchester Model 1886 rifle, circa 1889, 26 inch octagon barrel, chambered in 45-70, mint as new bore, 90%+ original bright blue on the barrel and magazine tube, 100% original blue on the bolt. Case colored receiver, lever, hammer, upper and lower tangs, butt plate and for end cap with 80%+ of the bright vivid case colors remaining. Stocks are solid in original finish, proud of the metal with no cracks or repairs of any kind. I have several antique correct front and rear sights for this rifle. Not sure if this rifle came with the sling swivels, the ones in it now are Williams from the 1960 or 70's. They could also be replaced with antique ones if one desired. A stunning high condition 1886 rifle in the desirable 45-70 made in 1889...Cody letter forthcoming.
