WWII Nazi GERMAN Officer’s Sword w PORTAPEE
Circa 1938 with German Military Acceptance Marks
Here we present a World War II German Officer’s Sword, made circa 1938 by E&F Horster of Solingen, Germany. This would have been worn for formal ceremony by an NCO in the German Army. A gold and navy portapee adorns the hilt.
The scabbard and the handle are both matching and marked “652”. The scabbard is also marked “E&F H 38”. There are various German Third Reich proof marks on the scabbard and hilt.
The overall condition is fine. Grip is complete. The blade is bright with minor wear.
