Description:
On Hold Pending Funds / Colt Commando Double Action Revolver serial # 827 (very early gun), cal. 38 Special, with a 4" barrel and an excellent bore. The metal surfaces retain about 95% plus original Parco-Lubrite finish with most of the loss on high edge wear and a turn ring on the cylinder. The checkered walnut factory grips pencil numbered 828 (number is most likely a factory error) with silver Rampant Colt medallions rate excellent (these early guns were shipped with wood grips see US Handguns of World War II by Pate pg. 158). The frame has a crisp flaming bomb ordnance mark. The gun times and locks up correctly. Overall a nice early Commando that should be a fine addition to any military collection and it’s in very good - very good plus condition. (C&R) Inv.: # 1-1347
